One Beaver Dam firefighter was injured Monday evening after reports of a fire in the town of Westford. The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded right after they received the call at 6:13 p.m. and requested help from multiple surrounding departments. After putting out the fire, crews searched for potential occupants in the building but they did not find anyone. The owners were not there at the time of the fire. The report did not indicate the severity of the firefighter’s injuries or the fire. The cause of the fire also remains under investigation. Nine agencies helped at the scene including: Burnett, Randolph, Horicon, Fox Lake, Juneau, and Waupun Fire Departments alongside the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Dodge County CERT, and Alliant Energy.
