VIDEO: The City of Beloit Police, Fire, and Police Works partnered with local civic departments to present Riverside Park's first Trunk or Treat event.
Organisers hoped to celebrate the spirit of Halloween while paying tribute to the efforts of local police and firefighters.
The event featured a showcase of first-responder vehicles for families to explore - including a helicopter from UW-Health that flew in for the event.
Local police officer Dylann Rauch discussed the importance of community outreach for the Beloit police department.
"It's vital for us to be seen as law enforcement officers, not just the people that arrest," he said. "We are here for the community, that's our job ... we love the city."
Organisers made sure the event was free to the public, and were thrilled to see so many families show up in costume.
