The City of Janesville announced Friday that it has moved forward with three finalists for the position of Fire Chief of the Janesville Fire Department.
The finalists are as follows:
John Kolarik - His most recent position includes the Deputy Fire Chief for the Glenside Fire Protection District (2021-2022). From 1998 to 2021, he served as Captain/Acting Battalion Chief with the Schaumburg, Illinois, Fire Department.
Ryan Murphy - He currently serves as Battalion Chief for the City of Janesville Fire Department and has since 2018. Murphy has been apart of the City of Janesville since 1999 and has served as Captain, Lieutenant and Firefighter/Paramedic/Motor Pump Operator.
Scott Sarver - Since 1998, he has been the District Chief for the South Metro Rescue Authority.
