PHOTOS: Authorities in Brown County say that a house is inhabitable after an early morning fire caused around $150,000 in damages. Crews were sent to the 2200 block of Pinecrest Road in the village of Suamico around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday for a report of a two-story farmhouse on fire with heavy smoke and flames in the basement. According to a release from the Suamico Fire Department, all five household residents self-evacuated before firefighters arrived on the scene. Firefighters were able to battle the blaze and bring it under control within 30 minutes of arriving at the residence. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but fire officials believe it began in the basement. Around $150,000 in damages were caused to the structure and its contents, and the Red Cross is assisting all five residents.
