VIDEO: Three firefighters with the Beaver Dam Fire Department were injured in an air boat crash on Beaver Dam Lake Monday night. In a post to Facebook, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened just after 7:40 p.m. in the area of Grape Island on the lake. Officials say the crash happened on Grape Island during training operations, but add that the cause of the crash is still under investigation. While specifics on the injuries of the three firefighters are still unknown at this time, officials say one of them was seriously injured. We do not know the names of those injured. Leading the investigation is the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. They say they will provide more information about the crash when their investigation is over. It is not clear when that may be.
