VIDEO/PHOTO: A fire Tuesday night resulted in the loss of a home in rural Dunn County.
According to Durand fire chief Jamey King, the first call came in just before 9:30 p.m. for a woodshed on fire. While crews were on their way to the scene on County Road O, more calls came in stating the house was also on fire.
King said the house and two outbuildings were fully engulfed when they arrived. He told News 18 just over 100,000 gallons of water was used to try and save the house, and 58 personnel from multiple are departments came to help.
King said the outbuildings collapsed shortly after they got to the scene, and after a long battle the house was torn down. He said no one was hurt and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
