VIDEO/PHOTOS: Fire departments on Tuesday morning responded to a residential fire in Vernon County. The call came in around 3:30 a.m. for a house fire that spread to the garage in La Farge. When crews arrived on scene, both structures were almost fully engulfed in flames. According to La Farge Assistant Fire Chief Troy Deaver, Viola Fire Department provided mutual aid. Deaver said there was one person in the house, who evacuated safely. Crews left the scene just before 7 a.m. The cause of the fire that destroyed the residence is still under investigation.
