PHOTOS: Authorities in Wisconsin say on a day of high danger for fires, they were called to respond to multiple fires. According to a release from the Turtle Lake Fire District, crews first responded at 2:07 p.m. to the 100 block of 20 1/2 Avenue to assist Cumberland Fire with a fire in the woods that was “getting out of hand.” Firefighters from Turtle Lake were reportedly assigned to help with fire suppression and mop-up operations and after an hour of Turtle Lake crews being on the scene, the fire was declared out and all units cleared the scene. Officials with Cumberland Fire are investigating the cause of the fire. After returning to the fire station to clean and restock trucks, Turtle Lake crews responded to the 300 block of 200th Avenue or County Road G just inside Polk County for a large fire in the woods.
