The Beaver Dam Fire Department has announced that the city and the Beaver Dam Community Fire and Rescue Association have amended their agreement for fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. The city and Associatoin have a long history of working together to provide essential emergency services to the townships of Beaver Dam, Calamus, Lowell, Trenton, and Westford.
While the City and the Association have long shared operational costs of the department, fire apparatus have been owned separately by the city and the Association. To reduce the financial impact of replacing aging fire apparatus and improve the efficiency of emergency response, Beaver Dam and the Association have agreed to begin purchasing fire engines jointly.
