VIDEO/PHOTOS: A truck drove through a wall at the Regency Inn & Suites in Eau Claire Monday night. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital.
A reporter on scene captured the image of a Ford F-150 pickup truck with its front end inside the building. City police and fire crews are also on scene.
According to an official with the Eau Claire Fire Department (ECFD), the truck busted through a wall and into a hallway in the building. The truck blocked a door inside, trapping some people inside a room. Those people were not hurt. ECFD believes the structural integrity of the building is safe, but they are awaiting an inspection.
Again, the driver of the truck was injured in the incident. The extent of their injures is unknown at this time.
