The department received the funding from Marshfield Clinic Health System, Community engagement, CoVantage Cares Foundation, and the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation. The department hopes these new AED's will help save someone’s life in the event of cardiovascular emergency.
“Time is probably the most important thing in cardiac issues and these are pretty much full proof, you turn them on, you follow the directions and you hopefully can help save somebody’s life,” said Larry Mathein the Chief of Little Rice Fire Department.
The Department has also placed AED's in different business establishments within their response area for public access.
