PHOTO: The Cedarburg Fire Department welcomes their newest members, 13 volunteers, who joined the department in 2023. Several completed courses during the 2023 fall semester at MATC, sponsored by CFD. Five completed the Firefighter 1 course to earn their certification.
Melissa (Missy) Demczak successfully took two courses, Firefighter 1 and EMT Basic during the fall semester, which is quite an accomplishment, according to a CFD announcement. Her mother, Denisa, took the EMT Basic course with Demczak. They enjoyed it so much, this mother/daughter duo are being featured in an upcoming article for an MATC publication.
Three new members joined already licensed as EMT Basic or Advanced EMT. Four new members are now starting classes for Fire or EMT for the 2024 spring semester.
