VIDEOS: Green Bay fire crews responded to a garage fire at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Western Avenue on Saturday evening. The fire appears to have started in a garage at an apartment complex. A battalion chief says firefighters found the 16-unit garage fully engulfed when they got there at about 7:30 p.m. They had it under control in about 40 minutes and are staying on scene during the night to monitor any hotspots and to allow fire marshals to investigate. He says the garage had four vehicles inside, which were on fire when crews arrived. Some of the other units were empty or used for storage. The garage collapsed as crews fought the fire, and residents were evacuated due to smoke entering the buildings nearby.
