A fatal blaze that claimed the life of a S. Kanawha Street man on Sunday did not appear to be suspicious, Beckley Fire Department Chief Ed Wills said Monday. Wills said that the State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating and had not released the victim's identity as of Monday evening. The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of S. Kanawha Street. Power lines were reportedly lying across the roof and front yard. The fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
