Metro 911 said emergency crews have responded Wednesday afternoon to a reported fire in a classic car after a crash on U.S. 119. South Charleston firefighters said two people were injured in the two-vehicle wreck that occurred about 5 p.m. The extent of injuries was unavailable. The incident happened near Mountaineer and Southridge boulevards. Hundreds of classic and antique cars will be coming into the area for the Charleston Boulevard Rod Run and Doo Wop that starts Thursday and runs through the weekend. Events kicked off Wednesday with a cruise-in from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cabela’s and Home Depot at Southridge Centre. It was unclear whether this vehicle is participating in the Doo Woop.
