A Hedgesville home was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours Friday. According to Berkeley County Central Dispatch, the fire was reported around 12:25 a.m. Friday at a two-story home in the 8700 block of Hedgesville Road. The cause of the fire is not known at press time. Firefighters from Berkeley, Morgan and Washington Counties responded along with members of the 167th Airlift Wing. There were six adults in the home during the incident. No severe injuries were reported. A stretch of Hedgesville Road was closed during and after the blaze.
