Woman taken to hospital for serious injuries after vehicle hits pole by Deadman’s Curve in Asan


A woman was taken to Naval Hospital for serious injuries after a vehicle hit a pole around 9 p.m. Tuesday by Deadman's Curve in Asan, according to Guam Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Nick Garrido. GFD units at 8:47 p.m. responded to Deadman's Curve for a reported auto-pole incident. Garrido said GFD units found a woman, approximately 40 years old, with serious injuries. The patient was transported to Naval Hospital Guam. The Guam Police Department was on scene investigating, Garrido added.

Guam Fire Department responds to fire near UOG in Mangilao


The Guam Fire Department responded to a fire near the University of Guam Wednesday morning. At 8:06 a.m., Guam Fire Department units responded to a reported structure fire at the junction of Dormitory Lane and Campus Drive near the entrance to the University of Guam in Mangilao, GFD spokesperson Nick Garrido shared with local media. "Upon arrival, units were able to extinguish within minutes," said Garrido, who added units were still on scene conducting overhaul and cleaning at around 9:39 a.m.
