Morning Star Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out in a mobile home on Saturday evening, leaving one man injured. Morning Star Fire Chief Nathan Kew said Monday that firefighters responded to the scene just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday and found a double-wide mobile home with additions built on fully engulfed in flames in the 3000 block of Spring Street. "When we got there, three-fourths of the roof was fully involved and three of the four walls were also in flames," Kew said. Kew said the victim, who he identified only as an "elderly man," was reportedly transported to a burn unit in Little Rock due to the severity of his burns. Kew said the cause of the fire is unknown because they were unable to speak with the man injured in the fire. No firefighters were injured during the incident.
