VIDEO: One woman is dead after a fire erupted inside a mobile home at 159 Bull Bayou Road early Friday morning, according to Piney Fire Chief Scott Miser.
The name of the victim was not readily available pending notification of next of kin. Miser said Piney Fire Department received the call of the fire at 3:59 a.m. and arrived to find the structure fully involved.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation, although Miser noted there was no power to the residence, so it wasn't an electrical issue.
Miser said about 15 firefighters from Piney responded, with mutual aid provided by70 West Fire Department, which sent four firefighters to the scene.
