Ola Fire Department responds to ‘fully engulfed’ structure fire

PHOTOS: An afternoon fire destroyed a residence in Ola on Monday afternoon, November 28th despite the efforts of firefighters. At approximately 12:40 p.m., Yell County Fire Control dispatched District 1 fire departments to respond to a structure located in the area of the 600 block of Doyle Lane in Ola Fire Department’s fire district. Within a few minutes of being dispatched, Ola firefighters advised they were responding to the location. Dispatch updated the firefighters advising that the exact address of the fire was not provided by the 911 caller but they had taken two calls advising the house was on fire. As they responded, firefighters advised that heavy black smoke could be seen in the area. Upon arrival, firefighters provided a size up of the scene stating that the structure was “fully engulfed.”
