Rodney Taylor remains in critical condition at the University of Utah Burn Center in Salt Lake City after suffering injuries from a Saturday morning explosion in a detached woodworking shop next to his home on 4500 West in Cedron, Idaho, about five miles west of Victor.
The blast, which could be felt through the southwest side of the valley, occurred in the early morning, alerting neighbors who were first to respond to Taylor’s home and called 911. According to Teton County Fire Chief Bret Campbell, there was one other person in the main house who was not injured in the blast. The main house also sustained significant damage said Campbell. Campbell issued a press release Monday saying that the cause of the explosion was still under investigation.
