After serving 36 years in emergency services, Dave Hanneman will retire. During his time at I.F.F.D., Chief Hanneman upgraded the city’s I-S-O rating to Class 2. The department is one of only two in the state of Idaho to have achieved this. The city will hold a retirement ceremony in his honor during a public reception on April 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Waterfront in Snake River Landing. Under his leadership, Chief Hanneman successfully upgraded the City of Idaho Falls’ ISO rating to a Class 2. IFFD is one of only two departments in the state of Idaho to have achieved this. The Class 2 rating has a direct impact on lowering insurance premiums for property owners in Idaho Falls.
