Frank Parks loves to watch the "Boise Firefighters Pipes and Drums" every year on Saint Patrick's Day.
"We practice every week. We typically go to a fire station when we’re off duty and just spend an hour together every week. Every one of our members are Boise firefighters and this is something that we do voluntarily,” said Michael Menlove, Pipe Major, Boise Firefighters Pipes & Drums.
This year has been more difficult for Parks. “It means--I lost my wife just little over a month ago. One of her favorite days was Saint Patrick’s Day. I thought it would be very hard for me.”
The fire department still asked him to come and perform his jig.
"They insisted that I join them and do the dance and I did. It made it a lot easier.”
