PHOTO: A fire that ignited early Saturday morning quickly gutted a home in this south Bannock County town. The blaze at the home in the 400 block of North Main Street was reported around 12:15 a.m. Saturday by the man who lived there, according to the Bannock County Sheriff's Office. The man's name has not been released. There were no injuries in the fire but authorities said the wood-frame house is a total loss. The homeowner said the fire started in a basement wood-burning stove at the house but the blaze remains under investigation by Sheriff's Office detectives, authorities said. The flames quickly engulfed the house and completely gutted its interior. Downey firefighters responded to the blaze and remained on the scene extinguishing the fire until Saturday afternoon.
