PHOTO: Police and fire units responded to a wreck that left three vehicles totaled on Friday night and then a pedestrian versus pickup truck collision 15 minutes later.
Neither incident resulted in serious injuries though both temporarily blocked busy city intersections.
What made the 15-minute span even more stressful for the Pocatello Fire Department was that between the two collisions were two ambulance calls for medical emergencies at homes in different parts of town. The four emergency incidents during the 15-minute span left the Pocatello Fire Department with no available units to respond to anything else.
The first incident was the three-vehicle crash that occurred at 8:45 p.m. at Pocatello and North Seventh avenues near City Hall.
The wreck involved three cars, all of which were totaled by the impact of the collision.
But none of the vehicles’ occupants, which included a carful of Mormon missionaries, were injured, authorities said.
