Firefighters responded to a fire at a popular local food truck late Tuesday afternoon.
The fire at the El Herradero food truck in the parking lot of Vickers Western Store on the 1400 block of Yellowstone Avenue was reported by the food truck's employees around 4:45 p.m.
The Pocatello Fire Department responded but the employees had used fire extinguishers to put out the flames by the time firefighters arrived, authorities said.
The fire ignited in the food truck's propane heater and spread to the interior of the food truck before being extinguished, firefighters said. There were no injuries.
Despite the damage to the food truck, the employees said they planned to make the necessary repairs and reopen on Wednesday, firefighters said. The Fire Department remained on the scene for about 25 minutes making sure the fire was out.
