Idaho State Police is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that happened Monday morning on I-86. Police say a thick layer of fog covered part of the interstate, causing visibility to significantly decrease in a short amount of time. This caused vehicles to significantly slow down. Personal and commercial vehicles ran into each other causing a chain reaction of approximately 30 vehicles to be involved in the crash. A few people were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance with minor injuries. Traffic on I-86 was blocked between exit 56 and exit 59 for approximately 7 hours.
