A fire caused heavy damage to a shed near downtown Pocatello on Sunday afternoon. The shed fire at a residence on the 600 block of South Grant Avenue was reported around 12:30 p.m. and the flames quickly spread to a nearby fence. Pocatello firefighters responded and extinguished the fire before it could spread to any nearby homes in the neighborhood. There were no injuries but both the shed and fence suffered extensive damage in the fire. The blaze caused police to temporarily shut down South Grant Avenue. Authorities haven't yet commented on what could have caused the fire. The blaze remains under investigation by the Pocatello Fire Department.
