The Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office was unable to find the cause of last month’s house fire that killed a Princeton man. Officials say the cause of the fire is undetermined but note that there is no indication of anything suspicious about how the blaze started. The fire in Princeton on the evening of January 27th killed 36-year-old John Schraufnagel. Two people escaped the fire. One of them was injured in the blaze. Potlatch Volunteer Firefighters responded to the fire with assistance from Whitman County Fire District 4 Volunteers out of Palouse and Bennett Lumber Company firefighters.
