Fire Crews Quickly Knock Down Kitchen Fire in Lewiston Orchards

The Lewiston Fire Department responded for a report of a structure fire at 631 Warner Avenue #16, across from McGhee Elementary School, at 11:47 pm on February 9, 2024. First arriving crews found light smoke coming from the building. The caller had reported seeing a fire from security cameras in the residence. Crews entered the structure and extinguished a small fire in the kitchen area. A search of the structure revealed no one was in the building. Vertical ventilation was used to remove smoke and heat from the building The fire was knocked down quickly and crews remained on scene for overhaul operations for approximately one hour. The department responded with three structural engines, three ambulances. one chief officer and two fire investigators for a total of 18 personnel.
