VIDEO: The Twin Falls Fire and Police Departments responded to a fire off of Jefferson Street around 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Multiple firefighters arrived on scene to extinguish the fire from a corner house. The fire was ignited inside a local resident’s garage. The fire department reported having an access issue when attempting to put the fire out, causing them to cut the garage doors open. However, once they created an open space and ventilation, they were able to put out the fire in under five minutes. “We were dispatched to a structure fire, it wasn’t really clear what part or structure was on fire when we got the initial call,” said TFFD Battalion Chief Aaron Hudson. “It ended up being a detached garage that you see behind me. We think the cause was some sort of mechanical work or somebody working on or welded on a vehicle inside the garage.”
