Late Saturday night, a Clarkston woman was transported to the hospital following her involvement in a storage unit fire in the Clarkston Heights. Asotin County Fire District #1 and Lewiston Firefighters responded to reports of a blaze at a All Valley Mini Storage located in the 2200 block of Appleside Blvd just before midnight on Saturday. Upon arrival, the first responding fire officer noted flames and smoke emanating from two storage units within the facility. Fire crews promptly engaged the fire, managing to contain most of the damage to these two units. However, smoke had infiltrated three additional storage units within the complex. Firefighters, in collaboration with the storage unit manager, initiated a thorough inspection, cutting locks on several units to check for any signs of fire extension or smoke.
