Firefighters responded to a trash truck fire in the North End Thursday morning. The blaze broke out in the area of Fisk and Demond Avenues and the driver dumped the load before firefighters arrived, Dennis Leger, aide to Commissioner Bernard J. Calvi said. The driver suffered minor burns to his arms and neck as he attempted to extinguish the blaze. He was treated at the scene.
