PHOTOS: One person is dead following an early morning house fire on Montmorenci Street in the city’s North End, according to the fire department.
Firefighters were called to 31 Montmorenci Street, located off Chestnut Street near Chapin Terrace, before 2 a.m. for a reported house fire.
At the time, snow was falling heavily and firefighters had to contend with the elements while they battled the flames. The fire department confirmed one person was found deceased inside the home.
