VIDEO: A fiery crash at a Brockton gas station late Wednesday was caught on camera. The crash happened just before midnight at A.L. Prime Gas on North Montello Street. A car backed into a pump, knocking it down and causing it to catch on fire. Brockton fire officials said the driver was confused about where his gas tank was and was trying to readjust when he backed into the pump. The 57-year-old driver parked across the street, away from the fire and called 911. He remained on the scene as police and fire arrived. The pump’s automatic shut off kicked in. Firefighters used dry chemicals to help extinguish the fire.
