Mold and a surprise backup of raw sewage in the Cohasset Fire Station has the town’s firefighters concerned, according to the union. But remediation for the issues is already completed, according to the town’s fire chief. Sewage in basement: The state’s Office of Emergency Medical Services issued a notice of serious deficiencies in late March in regard to the Cohasset Fire House’s stock of EMS supplies. The supplies are currently stored in a basement that has flooded multiple times in the past and sits adjacent to a crawl space that flooded with sewage in March. The notice of serious deficiencies stated that the supplies needed to be moved out of the basement. According to Fire Chief Robert Silvia, an upstairs space has been dedicated to storing the supplies, but first shelving units need to be installed.
