Woman and Child Rescued in Boston Fire

Two people had to be rescued from a Beacon Hill apartment after a fire broke out around 6 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the first floor of this four story brick building, officials said. They say a woman and child were rescued from the third floor and are being treated. They also say one firefighters suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. Firefighters say businesses are on the first floor and apartments are on the other three floors. The fire has been successfully knocked down. Fire officials estimate the damage here to be about $100,000. Firefighters are still investigating the cause of this fire.
