The cause of a two-alarm fire that displaced eight people from a Pasadena Street home Saturday night remains under investigation.
The fire at 104 Pasadena St, a three-family home, was reported shortly before 8:45 p.m., Fire Capt. Drew Piemonte said. It started in a rear first-floor bedroom and extended to the basement and second floor.
No injuries were reported, Piemonte said. Estimated damage is $50,000 to $60,000.
The Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Red Cross is aiding those displaced — four adults and four children.
The Springfield Arson & Bomb Squad is investigating the fire.
