VIDEO: One firefighter was hurt and 30 people are displaced after a fire broke out overnight in a multi-family home in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
When firefighters arrived at Blossom Street at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, they found heavy fire on all three floors and the rear of the building.
More than 30 people live at the six-unit building.
All residents are accounted for and got out uninjured. A firefighter was taken to Massachusetts General, but will be OK.
There were water issues from the beginning because of a bad hydrant.
“We had water problems from the get-go. We had a bad hydrant,” said Chelsea Deputy Chief Michael Masucci. “The time of the fire, you need as many people as you can on scene.”
The house is likely a total loss.
