A Fall River man has been charged with arson following a blaze at a three-story building in the city Wednesday night. Jeremy Perreira, 42, was charged with arson and possession of a stun gun. The fire broke out at a building that houses apartment units and a salon on Globe Street at about 7:30 p.m. Fire crews were able to put out the blaze in roughly 20 minutes and also saved a mother and infant from the roof. Both were treated for minor injuries. Police said that an investigation into the cause led them to believe the fire was set on purpose. The investigation led to charge Perreira with the arson. An arraignment for Perreira still has not yet been scheduled.
