Update: Pittsfield man who was pulled from a burning car has died

A Pittsfield man who was pulled from a car fire early Wednesday morning outside an apartment complex has died, according to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office. Berkshire District Attorney's Office director of communications, Andy McKeever confirmed to the Berkshire News Network this morning that 69-year-old Barry Dunnells, who was pulled from a car that was engulfed in flames in the parking lot in front of the Livingston Apartments, was pronounced deceased at Berkshire Medical Center. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. The Pittsfield Police Department Detective Bureau, Pittsfield Fire Department Investigators, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the incident.
