Dozens of people living at a senior care facility in Massachusetts have been displaced due to a burst pipe, according to officials. Reading police officers and firefighters responded to help relocate 66 residents of The Residence at Pearl Street, which offers assisted living and memory care. Police Chief David Clark and Fire Chief Gregory Burns said their departments received a report at about 11:50 a.m. Monday that a pipe burst at the facility and that water was cascading into an electrical box. There are no reported injuries, but the incident forced power to be cut to the building at 75 Pearl St. Staff members at the senior care facility are notifying family members of residents and working to find alternative accommodations for those residents who are not being picked up by family members.
