A Massachusetts school bus sustained serious damage after it collided with a 1-ton dump truck on Cape Cod Monday morning. According to a spokesperson for the Centerville-Osterville Marstons Mills Fire Department, the crash occurred on Monday at 7:15 a.m. on River Road, just east of Wakeby Road, in Marstons Mills.
Fire crews responded to the scene approximately five minutes after the crash was reported, the spokesperson stated. Upon arrival, crews found a two vehicle accident involving a 1-ton dump truck and a school bus with heavy damage, authorities stated. Crews used extrication equipment to free the bus driver out of the heavily damaged bus. The bus driver was transported to South Shore Hospital trauma center in Weymouth for treatment.
