One man was killed and another man taken to the hospital after a fire in a Carver, Massachusetts, home late Wednesday night. Firefighters were called to a two-story Tremont Street home just before 11 p.m. Wednesday. They said they arrived to heavy fire and reports of a person trapped inside. Crews found the victim on the first floor. He was pronounced dead on scene. The district attorney's office identified the victim as James "Jimmy" Collins, 69. A second man escaped on his own. His injuries and condition are unknown right now. No firefighters were hurt. Officials said the fire is not suspicious, but the exact cause remains under investigation. The State Fire Marshal's office is helping Carver Fire determine how the fire started.
