Firefighters were on the scene of a well involved cottage type structure in Eastham. The fire was reported on Bonaya Road off McKoy Rd about 10:45 AM Tuesday. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Two engines from Eastham and mutual aid from Orleans Fire-Rescue, Wellfleet Fire Department, Harwich Fire Department and Brewster Fire Department helped control the fire, while Chatham Fire Department covered the Eastham Station. The home was unoccupied at the time. It is considered a complete loss. The Massachusetts State Police Department of Fire Services are aiding in the investigation of the cause.
