Area residents will have the opportunity this weekend to check out the inner workings of some specialized police, fire and other emergency response vehicles, including cruisers and even the Michigan State Police helicopter, Trooper 3.
The vehicles will be on display at the University of Michigan-Flint parking lot at the corner of Saginaw Street and 5th Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, as part of the ninth annual Flint-area Touch-a-Truck event. The event is a good opportunity for children to see the ins and outs of emergency vehicles while also building a relationship with officers from local police agencies, according to those putting on the free event on. But that doesn’t mean it’s only for children.
“There’s something for everyone,” UM-Flint Police Chief Ray Hall told MLive-The Flint Journal.
