The Tri-Township Fire District shared a rescue story, bringing attention to the importance of community and CPR. The Tri-Township Fire District said on Jan. 23, firefighters responded to the 4000 block of Stello Road for the report of a 38-year-old man who had gone into cardiac arrest. The man, Jared Stam, had been snowplowing his driveway when he collapsed. His son, Dax, saw Stam fall and called his mom, Danielle Stam, who immediately called 911 and her neighbors, Ron Kimmerly and Lloyd Newvine. With their help, they started performing CPR on Jared Stam, the fire department said. The department said two of the firefighters heard the call and recognized the address of their friend’s home, and they immediately drove to the scene to help.
