The City of Coldwater’s Fire Department has announced the launch of a new Fire Extinguisher Training Program that they say was made possible by donations from local organizations and businesses.
The City has acquired a brand-new LION Intelligent Training System valued at just under $15,000.
Fire officials say this system utilizes remote-controlled, stainless-steel burners to create safe, controlled, harmless fires, allowing participants to learn how to properly operate fire extinguishers in a realistic setting.
The program is being facilitated by Coldwater Fire Marshall Steve Trall and Materials/Safety Specialist Denny Steele.
