A dock belonging to the Eaton County Parks and Recreation Department is deemed a ‘total loss’ after a fire early Friday morning and is now being investigated as Arson. The fire happened at the dock located on Crandell Lake, which is just east of Charlotte in Eaton Township. The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire and the cause has not yet been determined. The Eaton County Parks and Recreation Department said in a Facebook post that their maintenance supervisor received a call from Eaton County Dispatch at 7:17 a.m. Friday informing them of the dock fire. Officials tell News 10 they are working with the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office to get more information on the case. Officials say that they believe this was intentional. Eaton County is asking anyone with information to reach out to the Parks and Recreation Department.
