Thanks to Battle Alley Brewing Company in Holly, the Holly Fire Department now has three Carter Kits to help children on the autism spectrum. Carter Kits contain items that are clinically proven to comfort children on the autism spectrum during emergencies and traumatic events. “We were inspired by a recent article in the Tri-County Times that detailed how a local group had donated Carter Kits to the Fenton Fire Department. We’d never heard of the kits, but we reviewed it with our staff, some of whom have experience with autism in their families, and felt that it would be a great fit for our monthly charity program. We approached Holly Fire Chief Jeremy Watson, and he expressed interest in receiving the kits, so we moved forward with the plan to get several of them,” said David Elliot, owner of Battle Alley Brewing.
